Maybe I can find a well-behaved, all-yellow one that blooms later.Sharon@SproutsandWildlingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16622277229615660467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7443869983891888345.post-50998600078540011242012-04-18T22:27:43.842-04:002012-04-18T22:27:43.842-04:00I got a chuckle from your comment on the poker. My solution - I bought a smaller 'Wayside Flame' kniphofia to put in display garden.Swimrayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02928919593044289369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7443869983891888345.post-84342455621353620932012-04-15T21:51:55.948-04:002012-04-15T21:51:55.948-04:00I think you're right. Along with mentoring, it can't fail to improve overall garden performance.Sharon@SproutsandWildlingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16622277229615660467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7443869983891888345.post-57451159385540472812012-04-15T21:49:46.534-04:002012-04-15T21:49:46.534-04:00Thanks! It's not my favorite, but I like it enough to keep this one clump. I once saw a hummingbird feeding at it and always hope I will again. But I think it might be just a bit too early for hummers this year.Sharon@SproutsandWildlingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16622277229615660467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7443869983891888345.post-34537316029318524372012-04-15T21:44:49.153-04:002012-04-15T21:44:49.153-04:00Great idea! That is one great plant! Love your idea of showing your tiny plant a big specimen so it will be inspired to grow up! :) Your bulbs are beautiful. I agree with you about the Red Poker - it does looks like it should be a summer bloom!HolleyGardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14892421871044249940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7443869983891888345.post-50987488095568196482012-04-15T11:44:09.232-04:002012-04-15T11:44:09.232-04:00Lovely blooms!
